A 25 mm flare pistol with 5 /34" barrel. Alloy barrel and frame, steel hammer and trigger, original wood grips without finish as manufactured. A lightweight British model designed by the Beridge Company. A simplified version of the Brass No.1 MkIII signal pistol. The zinc alloy was found to be deficient at low temperatures and was henceforth only used by ground forces in temperate areas. Both sides of the frame show small broad arrow marks with the serial number on the left barrel. The condition is near new and appears unfired. A fine example for the flare gun or British military collector.
