WW2 U.S. Model 11 Riot Shotgun by Remington

  • Description: Serial #494061, 12 Ga. (2 3/4”), 20” cylinder-choked barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few dark spots towards the breech. This is a U.S. marked shotgun was built in 1943 and retains 80-85% of the original blue finish with some gray fading and freckling in spots on the receiver, and towards the muzzle of the barrel. There are crisp “U.S. (flaming bomb)” markings at the breech of the barrel, and “U.S. (flaming bomb) MILITARY FINISH” on the left side of the receiver. The walnut forend has numerous minor handling marks, but no cracks on the underside, while the buttstock has a crisp Ord. Dept. crossed cannons stamp and “FJA” inspector's initials on the left side. The dark brown resin Remington buttplate is original and is also in excellent, nearly new condition. This is a great example of a US marked, Model 11 Riot Gun, and rates fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
